We have been successful in filling out the story behind the
Hackney family. Thanks to Ancestry
Family Trees, Library of Virginia Chancery Records, and newspaper articles of
the time, we now understand why there is little information available
locally. This family went through
some difficult times and it is best to leave it except for the eyes of their
family historians. Not all stories are happy ones.
